Witness appeal after crash

POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a road traffic collision just outside Chipping Camden over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.30pm on Sunday May 4, on the B4035 near the railway bridge just outside Chipping Camden.

Two cars were involved: a white Fiat Van, registered to an address in Moreton-in-Marsh, and a grey Saab Saloon, registered to an address in Billingham, Cleveland.

The driver of the van, a 44 year-old man from Aston Magna, was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where his condition was described as stable. The driver of the grey Saab received minor injuries and was taken to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry, where he was later released. His passenger, believed to be his wife, fractured a finger and was also taken to Walsgrave Hospital before being released.

As a result of the collision a fence was damaged and the road closed for several hours.

Anybody with any information is asked to contact police on 0845 090 1234 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
