THE Rotary Club of Chipping Norton is holding an event on Saturday (26) to give people more information on the risks of suffering a stroke.
Residents can take part in the free Blood Pressure Testing and Stroke Advice session being held in the Arcade Area, Westgate, between 9am and 1pm. Chipping Norton Rotarians are working alongside The Stoke Association in holding the event.
Anyone wishing to have a test to find out how high their blood pressure can take part in the day and information will also be handed to those who are at risk of stroke.
Michael MacMahon of The Stroke Association, said: "Over 40 per cent of strokes could be prevented by the control of high blood pressure but thousands of people are completely unaware of their own blood pressure levels.
"We all lead busy lives but getting your blood pressure checked is quick, simple and painless and we urge local people to take advantage of this free testing and information session being provided by Chipping Norton Rotarians."
