OUR May meeting was an entertaining and informative talk on the Land Girls. Fiona Warin took members back to 1942 when Wickhamford Land Amy played its role in producing food for a starving nation. An interactive session kept the audience engaged throughout, and members were left in no doubt about the vital work these young women carried out in harsh and poorly paid conditions.
Our meeting on Wednesday, 28 June is a garden visit to Nafford House, Eckington. We meet at 7pm at the venue. We look forward to seeing all our members and their guests for another enjoyable evening.
