MEMBERS of Salford Priors Youth Club enjoyed a Zumba session last week, courtesy of Juanita Philp, from hooplatino.com.
This was one of the activities arranged as part of a yearlong Fit for Life project, which was made possible by a grant from Warwickshire County Council.
The young people have also tried out Tae Kwon Do, a mobile climbing wall, indoor and outdoor sports, healthy eating and growing some of their own fruit and veg on an allotment loaned free of charge by the parish council.
A summer scheme was arranged during the school holidays in August, when the club had twice-weekly sessions, with sports coaching, picnics and a barbecue among the activities on offer.
The youth club committee is very grateful to Warwickshire County Council for its help, as the club now relies on grants and fund-raising to keep going, after recent cutbacks in government funding for youth work.
