At our March meeting we welcomed Phil and Mallick from Simple Street Defence. They talked about how to protect ourselves from attack, and emphasised that action is faster than re-action. Having seen some useful self defence techniques demonstrated we found the evening both informative and entertaining.

We then had our usual delicious tea, coffee and cakes with a time to chat, look at the competition entries and read notices, after which Gill Granger, President, conducted the business part of the evening. Jeanette proposed that we take part in Pershore Carnival this year. To celebrate a hundred years since some women were granted the right to vote she suggested we could dress as suffragettes. Quite a few members were keen to do this!

The winners of the competition for a decorated egg were: 1st Daphne Glover, 2nd Janet Cullis and 3rd Jean Rogers.

Our AGM and Resolutions meeting is on May 10th when we will also be having a “Pudding Tasting” competition.

As usual this takes place in Wulstan Hall, Priest Lane beginning at 7.30pm. All welcome!
