Evesham Baptist Church held a hugely enjoyable Fair Trade Pancake Morning on Saturday, April 14. The event was extremely well supported with queues for pancakes and standing room only at times. Fourteen pints of pancake batter were needed to keep up with demand. Over £640 was raised for Traidcraft Exchange, which helps growers & food producers in some of the world’s poorest communities.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Evesham attended the event with Nigel Huddleston MP. Ros Kane of Evesham Methodist Church provided an extensive stall of Traidcraft gifts, crafts, jewellery, foods & household products from all over the world. Both children and adults enjoyed quizzes, competitions and a craft activity and the home-made cakes & refreshments went down very well.
