WE held our Annual General Meeting on November 28, where members were informed of the usual state of the finances. We had no increase in new members and had made a deficit yet again. This caused discussion and it was agreed by all members that now was the time to draw a close to the club. This decision was not taken lightly due to long and valued history with Evesham and its love of gardening. The final preparations of the closure will take place in the early part of 2018. Members wished to thank all who had supported the club over the years and the varied speakers who had entertained us. The business side of the AGM was conducted so that members could enjoy the fish and chip supper together. The Kirkman Shield was presented to Ann Saunders being the winner of the table completion over the year and the runners up were congratulated. The members gave their farewells to each other and wish Happy Christmas to all.
