SIXTEEN members and guests were treated to a fascinating talk and demonstration on the Japanese art of making Sushi.
Our speakers for the evening were Nana Hirayama and her friend, who explained the history, etiquette and recipes of this Eastern delicacy before going on to make a variety of samples.
Delicious Lemon Drizzle cake was then enjoyed with a drink and time to socialise with other members.
You don't have to live in Defford to join us. We meet at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday in the month at Defford Village Hall. Come along and see what we get up to. Bring a friend, or come on your own and make some new ones. On May 10, Karen Harris-Wakenshaw will be telling us all about our posture and how important it is.
