Despite a poor start to the day it did not rain on our parade making for a brilliant Bish Bosh Bash Summer Fete for the second year running on Saturday 15 July.

Visitors were royally entertained by favourites from Worcester Concert Brass Band and the intriguing antics of Pebworth Morris men during the afternoon while consuming gallons of tea and acres of assorted cakes.

A new feature, the children's painting competition which attracted 180 entries, was extremely popular, and the scanned entries in the church met with squeals of delight from the children who had entered their interpretation of 'Our village fete'.

Lucy Laird, a fairly new resident to the village, scooped our very first Bishcuit Champion title with her jammy dodger look-a-likes, and pooches of all shapes and sizes enjoyed their fifteen minutes of fame in the dog arena.

The weather was kind to us with around 500 visitors from Cheltenham, Worcester, Redditch and even Doncaster (they were staying locally!), flocking to the fete. We even sold out of burgers and cakes despite having more than last year!

The vintage and brand new classic cars, floral displays, stalls and activities, too numerous to mention, made for a brilliant occasion for both visitors and organisers and everyone agreed it was certainly a Day to Remember.
