AT a packed meeting last Wednesday, we welcomed a new member. Our treasure stated our club has a healthy bank balance. We were given details of our next day trip which is to Weymouth. If anyone would like to join us on the trip contact Sheila on 01608 652186.

Following the meeting Jenny Miller and Irene Finlayson, are volunteers at the Cobalt unit at Cheltenham to raise funds for the first scanner in 1964. The unit then bought a property in 1966 which is still their HQ. They also raised funds for scanners at Bristol and Birmingham. The latest scanners are to scan the brain for signs of dementia, even in young people. They also raised funds for six mobile scanners for use at other locations. If you feel you could help this wonderful charity contact Kirsty Bradbury, fund raising officer on 01242 53922.
