Members and several guests met in May to listen to local author Sue Johnson talk about her life as a writer of novels, poems and short stories. She gave hints and tips on how to get published and then turned the table on members, asking them to write a few words. The discussions that followed certainly brought back memories to people.
Details were given of the Village Fete and requests for cakes and helpers were made, the raffle was drawn, followed by tea and biscuits.
You don't have to live in Defford to join us. We meet at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday in the month at Defford Village Hall. We're a friendly bunch, why not come along and meet us? On June 13, Shauna Stedman from The Dogs Trust will be coming to talk about her work there and may be bringing a four legged friend!
