Our may meeting was the AGM and opened with president Carla Auger giving thanks to all members for the past year. We talked about our activities over the year with many members taking part in outside interests including talks and craft classes, also trips to Denman. We went on to vote for the resolutions which this year is Mental Health, and talked about our future outings including a visit to Kew Gardens in July and a skittles evening in June. We also congratulated our two quiz teams who took part in the federation quiz in April. The coffee mornings on Tuesday at 10.30 every week at Amber cafe is very popular with many members.
A competition was held with items celebrating 100 years and prizes were awarded. The vote for president and committee members took place and Carla Auger was voted as remaining president. After refreshments we all took part in a beetle drive which was enjoyed by all. Our next meeting is ACWW and is on June 12. To find out more about our WI follow us on Facebook or twitter.
