WE have enjoyed two speakers over the last months. June speaker was Andy Pedrick who has entertained members several times and never fails to give good gardening advice. Andy renewed our interest for taking cuttings and seeds to replenish our stock of plants. July speaker was Elizabeth Adlam who explained Caribbean flowers and whether they were native or invaders. A thought provoking talk which may have convinced some members to take a cruise next year? We also had an enjoyable social tea and cakes in the delightful garden of Beryl Gurden on Sunday, July 30.
As August is a holiday break for the club there will be no meeting on August 22. We will all join up again on the September 26 to exchange our summer gardening tales. Happy holidays to all!
JOSIE HOWARD (Secretary)
