THE July meeting of the Friendship Centre was held as usual at the Peopleton Village Hall. The speaker was Mr Rob Hemming who gave a talk on the Regal Cinema, Evesham. I am sure a lot of our members would have visited the cinema in the past and have happy memories of the place, so it was very good to hear of it’s renovation and how it has been restored to it’s former glory. The chairman announced, this year our charity donation of £50 will go to the Guide Dogs Association and the cheque will be presented when we visit them on August 16. The next meeting will be on August 23 it will be a social with a tombola, free tea, coffee and cakes. There will not be a speaker.
