A showcase of local musical groups will take place on Saturday, June 17 as part of the Evesham Festival of Music Fringe.

Musyck Anon will open proceedings at the Town Hall with a mini-concert from 9.45-10.15am. We will be singing unaccompanied partsongs dating from the 13th to the 21st centuries, including works by Thomas Ford, Matthew Harris and William Cornyshe. As well as songs in English, our programme will include a lively German song 'Tanzen und springen' and a beautiful Italian madrigal, 'Il bianco e dolce cigno'. Do come along and enjoy this free event.

Other groups performing at the Town Hall are Vale Connection Ladies Chorus at 10.30am, Avonbank Training Band at 11.15am and Evesham Community Choir at 12noon.

In the afternoon the Festival Fringe continues at Evesham Methodist Church with Evesham Concert Band performing from 1-2.30pm (featuring two members of Musyck Anon!) and the U3A Choir at 2.45pm.

If 9.45am seems a little early in the day for a concert then on Saturday, July 15 Musyck Anon will be giving a concert at 3pm in St. Lawrence's church, Evesham. For more details see our website www.musyckanon.com or find us on Facebook.
