THE newly formed Pershore Roundtable rocked the Pershore Carnival on bank Holiday Monday, with a vibrant float display representing 80s rockers on a mobile music club. This was Pershore Rountable’s first carnival parade so they were keen to make an impact on the town with the aim of raising awareness of what the club is all about and the good work they do for the community. Pershore Round Table Chairman Ian Thorner said ‘’We were really delighted to be part of the carnival, It was great to give the town a float that was different and something to remember us by, I think we really did rock the town’’. Roundtable’s motto is ‘’Do More’’ and it’s a Men’s only club for gents aged between 18 and 45. It is their aim to have fun, make new friends whilst partaking in a variety of exciting events ranging from Raft racing and Drift Karting to a good ole curry and pint, whilst also doing lots of good work for the community and local charities. One event that will arriving this winter is the Round Table Santa Sleigh that has proved very popular in Evesham and has raised over £6000 for local charities. Pershore Roundtable is officially chartering on 17th June 2017 and already has a handful of new members. ‘One new member Mike Handy said ‘’When I first joined I didn’t know what to expect but it’s been a great way to meet new mates and really get involved in the community, It’s been quite life changing’’.
