A FUNDRAISING quiz held at Worcestershire County Cricket Club's New Road home has raised more than £4,000 for the Prince's Trust.

The charity's Worcestershire Development Committee has announced that its thanksgiving themed quiz night, that was held in November and welcomed a number of county business representatives, has raised £4,150 for the charity that helps young people aged 11 to 30-years-old get into jobs, education and training.

Thursfields Solicitors sponsored the event which saw 30 teams gather at the cricket club's home to put their knowledge to the test, in a battle to be crowned the winner.

Taking the top spot was the team The Ballards of John and Yoko from Ballard Dale Syree Watson, who were closely followed by Grant Untied from Andrew Grant in second place and Three Saints and a Sinner, from Prosperity Wealth in third place.

The money raised has brought the committee closer to their fundraising target of £30,000, having so far raised £29,541.
