HAVING A SPLASHING TIME: Year seven pupils at Winchcombe School enjoying their day at Croft Farm Water Park, near Bredon.
NEW starters at Winchcombe School enjoyed a watery welcome when they took part in a week of outdoor activities.
All four year seven tutor groups spent the day at Croft Farm Water Park, Bredons Hardwick, and worked together to build rafts as well as kayaking and other team activities.
The day was part of their introduction to the school and a way to make friends along with developing leadership and problem solving abilities.
Head of year seven Matt Haynes said: “The activities are always a great success.
“Pupils stay in their tutor groups for the five years that they are at Winchcombe and the water sports days offer a great opportunity for pupils to get to know each other, work as a team and make friends.
“It’s really good to see them outside of a classroom.”
Pupil George Hance said: “It was a really good day. I made lots of new friends and the people were really nice and looked after us really well.”
