THE first I Will wedding show at Dumbleton Hall Hotel was a great success, with more than 75 brides and grooms-to-be visiting the historic venue in the autumn sunshine.

Visitors were able to browse stands displaying everything from flowers to sweets to venue dressing in the 19th-century manor house and in a marquee in the beautiful gardens, while the 35 exhibitors appreciated the hospitality of the hotel.

Everyone was treated to a complimentary glass of Prosecco courtesy of Majestic Wines of Stourbridge, and there was also the chance to enter a prize draw to win a dream dress from Bridal Boutique of Worcester, sponsor of the I Will events.

Karen Hughes of wedding planning company EVENT was especially pleased with the day’s success: “Dumbleton is a beautiful venue and I had lots of positive enquiries, with visitors genuinely interested in my services.

I’ve been exhibiting at the I Will shows for about three years, and in my experience they are the best-organised fairs I’ve attended.”

There are two I Will shows this coming Sunday, October 14, at Brockencote Hall Hotel in Chaddesley Corbett, near Kidderminster, and the Fownes Hotel in Worcester, both with about 35 exhibitors showcasing all manner of wedding essentials.

Both events run from 11am to 3.30pm, and with plenty of free parking available, visitors can spend as long as they like browsing the stands. There is also a free prize draw to win a wedding dress.

The I Will wedding shows – run by the company that produces the Evesham Journal – bring together an array of services under one roof.

This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
