Cheltenham Racecourse is appealing for local support as it competes for the first time against the UK’s leading conference and events venues for the chance to be included in Event magazine’s Top 20 poll.
The Racecourse fulfilled the rigorous criteria to be included in a list of 30 venues from over 60 nominated venues in Event magazine, a publication for the exhibition and live event industry in the UK.
The 30 venues are now open to public online voting and the final 20 will be published in the magazine’s next edition.
Cheltenham Racecourse is campaigning to encourage clients and local residents to vote online for the Cotswolds based location, with the aim of becoming the only racecourse and South West venue to be shortlisted for this highly sought after accolade. To vote visit: http://www.eventmagazine.co.uk/Top_20_venues/article/1151777/voting-opened-years-top-20-venues-poll/. The deadline is Wednesday 24th October.
In 2004, the racecourse significantly expanded its conference and events offering, opening The Centaur, a multi-purpose auditorium providing 2,600m² of space. The Centaur hosts large conferences and events all year round with a capacity of 2,250 people seated, more than 4,000 standing or 1,100 for a seated dinner.
