A MORETON woman is taking on a challenge of a lifetime when she hot-foots it across burning embers for charity.

Keri Dobson, who works at property and health and safety consultancy firm Dobson-Grey in Stratford, will walk across 20ft of wood embers to raise £500 for the Meningitis Trust.

She will be taking part in the Fire Walking Challenge on Saturday at the Silhillians Sports Club, Knowle, near Birmingham.

Mrs Dobson will be part of a team of 35 people who will go through a two-hour motivational fear buster seminar before facing the 1,236F heat.

“Taking on this challenge is pretty intimidating,” she said. “However, as a director in a firm specialising in health and safety, writing up the risk assessment will prove to be the greater challenge.

“I’m determined to do it for the Meningitis Trust and help to continue its fantastic work. With great backing from friends, family and colleagues, and a speedy walk over the embers, hopefully I can do it.”
