Family injured

A WOMAN and two children were seriously injured following a collision in Mickleton.

The incident happened at about 5pm on Saturday on the High Street. The woman, a boy aged 9 and a girl of 7, all from London, were hit by a car.

The boy was airlifted to hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries, although they are not thought to be lifethreatening.

The woman suffered serious injuries that are also not thought to be lifethreatening and is being treated at a hospital in Coventry.

The girl suffered minor injuries and is also being treated at hospital in Coventry.

The driver of the car, a local man, was not injured during the collision. No arrests have been made.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 348 of September 22.
