Electrical fires: is your home safe?

VALE pepople are being urged to be more aware of the risks of electrical fires in their homes.

The campaign is supported by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service during Electrical Fire Safety Week, which began on Monday.

Key points include: avoid overloading sockets, unplug appliances when not in use, check for loose or worn wires, and ensure appliances are clean and in good working order.

The service has been issuing safety tips on Facebook and Twitter.
