CROWDS of screaming fans queued outside an Evesham record store to catch a glimpse of chart-topping band Scouting for Girls.

The pop group performed some of their best known tracks alongside songs from new album The Light Between Us last Thursday to hundreds of fans at Rapture Entertainment in the Riverside Centre.

Following the performance they held a signing session for their fans.

Natalie Boyles from the store said: “It was really good. We had about 200 people and the event went really smoothly. Scouting for Girls played their latest release, Summer Time in the City , and they played some of their previous hits, such as She’s So Lovely . It went down really well with the fans.”

Next Wednesday, another singing sensation will be visiting the store. Jesca Hoop, a singer and songwriter from North California, will be doing an in-store set and signing session from 1pm. She is currently touring and promoting her fifth album, The House That Jack Built .
