A BUSTLING classic car rally had the welcome co-operation of the weather.

The annual motor show at Webbs Garden Centre, Wychbold, near Droitwich, was once again a big draw with the crowds, who queued up to see more than 370 old greats.

There were also classics of the two-wheeled variety, courtesy of the members of the Bromsgrove Motorcycle club, during the event on Sunday.

Vehicles from every decade from the 1920s onwards were on show, as the sun decided to play its part and dazzled visitors by reflecting off the highly polished chrome of the Triumphs, Jaguars, Morrises and Rovers to name but a few.

The event is now a mainstay in the garden centre’s summer calendar and has come a long way considering the event started with only 13 cars in its first year.

“The motor show is always a fantastic day out for all of the family and one of the events we most look forward to,” said Ed Webb, executive chairman.

“Sunday’s show was the biggest and best ever, with more than 370 vehicles on display and we were even lucky with the weather “Hundreds of people came along throughout the day to admire the cars and motorbikes and chat to the owners.

“There was an amazing atmosphere that was enjoyed by exhibitors, visitors and staff alike and we’ve already received lots of interest in next year’s show.”
