MEMBERS of Pershore Rotary Club visited four schools in the town during the last week of term.
They presented 68 pupils moving on to middle school with a copy of the Usbourne Illustrated Dictionary.
During the presentation at Cherry Orchard First School Malcolm Haden from the club said: “I have really enjoyed your leaver’s assembly show.
You obviously had great fun doing it. We have a lot of fun in Rotary as well as trying to help people all over the world. I hope you will find the dictionaries fun to read and help you at your new schools.”
Headteacher Sarah Bitcon thanked the club and added: “It is wonderful the older generation think of and try to help the young generation in this way.”
