Friends Kaitlin Canning, left, and Caitlin McMillan, both aged 12, who helped save the life of a boy who was hit by a car.
NEW details have emerged surrounding the aftermath of a crash in Badsey which left a young boy in hospital with a broken jaw.
The accident happened at about 7.15pm on Wednesday, July 18, on Bretforton Road in Badsey when a car hit the 12-year-old while he was playing with friends.
Last week the Journal reported on the actions of 13-year-old Abbie Thomas, who put the boy into the recovery position and alerted his family.
Now two more young stars, Caitlin Macmillan and Kaitlin Canning, both aged 12, have told how they helped the injured boy, who is recovering at home.
Caitlin said: “We were all playing and he started running I shouted for him to stop and then he was hit. Abbie put him in the recovery position.
I rang the ambulance and waited. After the accident the police came round and said well done.”
Tracy Macmillan, Caitlin’s mum, said she was very proud of her daughter.
The Journal has also been told that a number of people living nearby assisted the boy and the emergency services.
Police said no arrests had been made and there was no intention to take action against the driver.
