Cotswold Airport, based in Kemble, Gloucestershire has been confirmed as title sponsor of the inaugural International Ladies Tournament at Cirencester Park Polo Club, which begins on 25th July. The tournament will form part of Cirencester Polo Festival, a month-long celebration of excellent Polo in Cirencester Park providing the perfect fit to sponsor Cotswold Airport, which hosts the inaugural Best of British Show on August Bank Holiday to celebrate all that is iconic about Britain.
The inaugural showing of this exciting new event follows the International at Guards making it convenient for visiting overseas ladies. The tournament will run alongside the Wilson Trophy 8 Goal, The prestigious Warwickshire Cup 20 Goal and the new 26 Goal at Cirencester. The finals will take place on Sunday 29th July with first prizes from Cotswold Airport of four aerobatic flights with Ultimate High in the British Bulldog advanced ex-Military training aircraft. Runner up prizes are four microlight flights with Kemble Flying Club.
The tournament has a team handicap limit of 4 Goals and has attracted a competitive field including Nina Clarkin - highest rated female player. The international flags will be flying with representatives from New Zealand, Argentina and Brazil as well as visiting African team: Africa Blue. The excellent response to this season's inaugural Tournament suggests this will remain a popular, long-running addition to the Cirencester Fixture List.
