Walkers on a mission to help Molly
HUNDREDS of walkers took to Fish Hill near Broadway on Sunday to help raise money for village youngster Molly Grove.
Three-year-old Molly is on a mission to walk unaided for the first time and to achieve this dream her family must raise £55,000 for a specialist operation.
The walk, which took place on Sunday, was started by PR guru and Broadway resident Max Clifford and hailed a great success. A fete held afterwards on the village green raised about £2,700.
Richard Grove, Molly’s father, said: “We will find out what was raised on the walk in the next two weeks.
The walk was great, we were overwhelmed by how many showed up. Max Clifford was great and even made a nice donation himself.”
A cowshed shuffle is the next fund-raising event taking place for Molly and is being organised by Chipping Campden Rotary Club. The shuffle starts at 8pm on Saturday at the newly built cowshed in Toddington.
Tickets are £15 and can be purchased by calling Peter Butler on 01386 438853, Mike Taylor on 01386 841145 or Graham Walker on 01242 621216.
