Support for two charities

THE new chairman of Cotswold District Council has chosen his official charities.
Councillor Sir Edward Horsfall has chosen to support Gloucestershire Young Carers and the Stroke Association for the next two years.
Gloucestershire Young Carers works with children and young people who care for a family member.
The Stroke Association has support groups in Stow and Cirencester.
Coun Horsfall said he was keen to focus on helping both young and older people in the district.
He said: “I felt that these two charities were doing wonderful work and would benefit from my support, especially if it leads to them gaining more financial help.”
