Jubilee fun run

JOURNAL readers can look forward to a day of exciting activities in and around Elmley Castle as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The High Sheriff of Worcester will be kicking off a three-mile fun run on Monday, June 4, at noon which will start and finish outside the Queen Elizabeth pub in the village.

Residents can also take part in a jubilee two-mile fun walk and treasure hunt on the same day with registration starting from 10.30am, also outside the Queens.

Along the route participants can find the answers to 23 clues, which are based on points of interest and will also be able to view Netherton Chapel. For details and to register for the fun run, visit elmleycastle.org.uk or call Carol Rabbette on 01386 710661.
