MORE than £2,000 was raised for the Anthony Nolan Trust when runners braved the elements for a charity race at Moreton Fire Service College.
Up to 100 people turned out to run either 5k or 10k despite the heavy rain and strong winds.
Julian Fountaine, group manager and race organiser, was pleased with the turnout.
“It was brilliant,” he said.
“The Bourton Road Runners were excellent in helping us out as well as all the staff. It went very well considering the conditions.
“We thought about cancelling it but so many people had put such an effort into running,we thought we would carry on.”
