AN ARTIST from Chipping Campden is showcasing her works at a gallery in Stow for the first time.

Paula Jayne, a pastel artist specialising in Cotswold landscapes, night scenes and animals portraits, is guesting in portrait artist Lindy Allfrey’s gallery on Sheep Street until Wednesday, August 31.

As part of the exhibition, there will be the opportunity to buy mosaics from up and coming artist Susan Britton as well as pieces by host artist Lindy.

Solo exhibitionist, Paula, has been a professional artist for 15 years after help from the Prince’s Trust to set up her own business.

She said: “I won an award from the Prince’s Trust who helped me with a Bursary and a loan. I’ve met Prince Charles a couple of times.

“It’s a lovely gallery, the exhibition is going really well so far and we’ve had a very good attendance. There’s a mixture of originals and prints for sale.

“All the prints of a big seascape have sold out but the original is still available. The average cost of pieces is about £400.”

The Chipping Campden artist currently works from her studios at home but is hoping to get a working studio up and running in Blockley by Spring next year.

The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
