LOVERS of ceramics are in for a treat when an exhibition opens at the Corinium Museum in Cirencester.
The Eeles family – David and Patricia with their sons Benjamin and Simon – have garnered many accolades for their pottery, and will be exhibiting a wide range of their work in the museum’s gallery from Saturday, March 26, until May 21.
The family’s pottery enterprise is set in a 17th century coaching inn in the Dorset village of Mosterton, where they specialise in stoneware and porcelain. They are also masters in the art of Japanese-style pottery known as Raku.
Inspiration for the work is principally drawn from nature and over the past 20 years the family has staged more than 200 exhibitions throughout Britain.
All the ceramics on show will be for sale. Further information, including opening times, is available from the museum on 01285 655611 or by e-mailing museums@cotswold.gov.uk.
