SHIPSTON artist Doreen Langhorn has received the Fine Art UK Award for Creativity at the 149th Exhibition of the Society of Women Artists currently being held in the Mall Galleries, London.
The award for Doreen’s painting Catwalk was presented by the society’s patron H R H Princess Michael of Kent.
A delighted Doreen said: “I have been working on a series of fashion paintings for quite some time, inspired by my fashion design student niece.
“In the past 18 months she has taken me to catwalk shows, lectures and design events, and introduced me to a number of fashion icons from my youth, including Mary Quant, Twiggy and the delightful Zandra Rhodes.”
