Kids help design children's menu at Campden hotel

FUTURE foodies from Chipping Campden’s St James and Ebrington Church of England Primary Schools won a competition to design the children’s menu at the town’s Cotswold House Hotel.

The hotel, in The Square, launched the Kids Menu Draw in a bid to nurture the next generation of foodies.

It challenged local school pupils, aged eight-to-11, to help choose food to be included on the children’s menu served at the hotel’s Hicks’ Brasserie.

The pupils were also challenged to design the look of the menu.

Every time food is ordered from the menu, Cotswold House will donate £1 towards a new recreational facility at St James and Ebrington’s Pear Tree Close premises.

The hotel’s new executive chef, Damian Clisby, said: “The kids have come up with some brilliantly creative ideas for the menu.

“They’re even including a few healthy fruit and vegetable dishes to keep their parents happy.

“I’d better watch out though – some of these young foodies could put me out of a job.”
