Biker seriously injured in collision near Chipping Norton

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured in a collision on the A361 road near Chipping Norton.

Police withheld the name of the 58-year-old Worcestershire man who was riding a red Triumph Sprint motorcycle when it was in collision with a silver Volkswagen Transporter van near the Heythrop and Great Rollright turnings at about 11.35am on Sunday, August 3.

An ambulance took the rider to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital to be treated for serious arm and spinal injuries.

The A361 was closed until just after 3pm, with traffic being diverted through Hook Norton.
