Siddington 1, Broadway Utd U-13
UNITED completed their second successive league and cup double with a comfortable victory at Whaddon Road.
The winners dominated from the start and should have been ahead before the break with Harry Naylor, Jacob Knight, Charlie Stock and player of the match Sean Cooke creating chances.
However, Connor Hensey saw one effort hit a post and another well saved and he also denied Alex Hammerton and Stock.
Broadway's defence of Ben Hoskins, Luis Sone, Luke McDonagh and Harry Lowe were rarely troubled, while the impressive Naylor was replaced by Drew Clarke following an injury.
John Carter replaced Lowe at right back at the start of a second half that began with more Broadway pressure and it was Cooke who finally broke the deadlock with a shot across the goal that was helped over the line by a defender.
It wasn't long before United scored their second with Stock put through and firing home after the goalkeeper's initial save.
The game evened out a bit from then and James Bishop pulled off a couple of good saves before Cooke scored his second with a neat chip.
The game seemed beyond reach but Siddington pulled a goal back with ten minutes remaining following a deflected shot that wrongfooted Bishop but Broadway saw out the final minutes to record a deserved win.
