DOING the Lambeth Walk came easily for Cotswold School headteacher Ann Holland when she took to the stage to entertain students and guests at a lunchtime concert last Thursday.
Mrs Holland, a member of Warwickshire-based Helen Porter and Friends, used to work in the East End of London so donning her Pearly Queen outfit for a musical number from Me and My Girl brought back memories.
Apart from being entertaining, the event, organised by sixth form student Liam Hadley, 17, was the launch of the Bourton schoolfs latest campaign to get a sports hall built.
"We are the only large school without a sports hall," said Mrs Holland, whose previous attempts to get a sports hall for the 1,050-pupil school have been unsuccessful.
