VISITORS to a north Cotswolds garden centre will be able to pucker up in style under a giant ball of mistletoe in the run-up to Christmas.

The three foot diameter ball at the Fosseway Garden Centre was the biggest on sale at the recent Tenbury Wells Mistletoe Festival and garden centre owners Tim and Gill Godwin say it's the biggest they ever seen.

They decided it was too splendid to break up immediately so the mistletoe has pride of place hanging above the centre's tea room to allow customers the chance to indulge in a some traditional Christmas kissing.

It will be taken down on Christmas Eve and sprigs will be given on a first-come, first served basis to customers in return for a donation to the county air ambulance..

"We always make a real effort at Christmas," said Tim.

"Among the Christmas trees, decorations and seasonal plants we try each year have something a bit different and, this year, the Mistletoe Ball really caught my eye. I hope it helps romance and festive goodwill to flourish in The Cotswolds".
