Handicap penalty is a pain for Jake!

TEENAGER Jake Payne will find his handicap lowered again after winning the Monthly Medal at Evesham Golf Club.

The 14-year-old seven-handicapper shot a superb gross 73 in the calm conditions in a competition that saw 23 players shoot par 72 or better on the Craycombe course.

An excellent nett 67 from Paul Holder earned him top spot in Division Two on countback and he will see is handicap revert back to 12 as a result.
