A NEW mum who has lost two stone is now training to run this year's London Marathon.

Emma O’Hare from Tupsley in Hereford joined the Weight Watchers meeting in Hinton Community Centre weighing 12 stone 10lbs following the birth of her baby boy, now six-months-old.

Since joining the Sunday morning group, 30-year-old Emma has lost 26lbs and is in training to run the marathon on April 22.

Emma said: “I have never run a marathon before, although I did run the Hereford Half Marathon twice before I had my baby.”

Emma, who lost weight previously with Weight Watchers for her wedding in June 2016, found that the weight crept back on while she was pregnant.

Now Emma is running four to five times a week and increasing her mileage steadily before April.

Emma will be running for charity Sense, a national disability charity that supports people with complex communication needs. Emma’s goal weight is 9 stone 7lbs. Her fundraising target is £1,500.
