WHERE are they now?
Many villagers in Ashford Carbonel took part in this fancy dress event during the Festival of Britain happenings in 1951.
This photo was taken by the late Peter Bartlett in the park at Ashford Court. Normally in those years the fancy dress dance was held in December or January in the village hall and the Advertiser reporter, Billy Big Eye, would invariably fill one page with a rhyming commentary on the characters which he had met that evening.
This wonderful photograph of life in Craven Arms almost 70 years ago was submitted by Tom Froggatt who lives in the town. Tom is pictures in the back row wearing a headscarf. He would love to know what has happened to the people with him
