A FORMER ITV television show contestant helped to open new school play equipment.
Willersey Primary School opened the new play area with former I'm a Celebrity contestant and current MP Nadine Dorries dropping by to help.
Funded through the Big Lottery and local donations, the new equipment has transformed the playground.
Head teacher Mark Jackson said: “Many people tell us how good it is to hear the children playing when they walk through the village or past the school, so we hope that the sounds of happiness will be just that little bit louder now”.
After cutting the ribbon to open the playground, Mrs Dorries braved a question time with the children, where they discovered that she has written seven books and that she would not like to be prime minister.
