SCHOOL children pulled off a double victory in a regional rocket competition.
Kitebrook Preparatory School took first and joint third in the primary category of the regional part of Micro:bit Model Rocket Car Competition England and Wales after sending three teams to the tournament.
The Moreton school also came second overall, competing against 27 teams from both junior and senior schools.
The competition is inspired and supported by the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car project to break the land speed record.
The winning team are now through to the national finals this summer, with prizes that include a VIP trip to South Africa to see the Bloodhound SSC race.
Kitebrook school will have its name painted on the fin of the Bloodhound car, in recognition of their efforts, ready for the land speed record to be broken.
