A NEW shop is to open in Chipping Norton to raise money for a hospice charity.

Children and young adult's hospice, Helen and Douglas House, is to open a second shop in West Street, following the successful opening of a shop in Moreton in 2015.

The new shop will focus on both new and good condition second hand ladies wear and accessories, along with an eclectic mix of interesting fashion and gift items.

Proceeds from the sale of goods at the shops will go towards the care of sick children and their families, which the charity looks after.

Debbie Alexander, head of retail at Helen and Douglas House, said: ‘We are thrilled to open a second shop in this lovely town.

"We hope it will be as successful for the charity as the original shop in Market Place."

Anyone interested in volunteering can drop into the shop during opening hours for an informal chat.

Anyone wishing to donate unwanted items can also simply drop them in at the shop. To donate larger items, contact the warehouse to arrange a collection on 01865796772.

The shop opens at 11am, on Wednesday, February 1.
