CROWDS of festive spectators flocked to enjoy a popular Christmas show, held in a farm stable.

Tysoe village hosted its annual 'pantivity' – which is a cross between a pantomime and nativity – and more than 120 guests attended.

At the show - which was entitled 'A Simple Nativity' - donations from the audience raised more than £100 for Action for Children.

The pantivity was held in the stable on a working farm in Back Lane and was organised by Tanita Robson, community support worker at Tysoe Methodist Church.

She was assisted by the Reverend Barry Jackson from St Peter’s Church in Kineton and Rev Martin Leaton of St Mary’s Church in Tysoe.

The trio all had leading roles in the pantivity and were joined on stage by members of the audience who had dressed up as characters from the nativity.

The pantivity is the brainchild of Rev Dawn Saunders, the former Methodist Minister for Tysoe, Wellesbourne and Kineton, and has become a firm favourite in the village calendar, attracting crowds from throughout the county.
