PUPILS at a Cotswold school put on festive costumes to act out the Nativity story for proud parents.
Youngsters from the reception class at Dormer House School, in Moreton, put on an "exceptional" show and sang Christmas carols.
A spokesman for the school said: "There was not a dry eye in the house when the Dormer reception class presented the traditional Christmas Nativity to their parents.
"It appears that this year’s production was exceptional. Not only did they look magnificent in their costumes, their lines were word perfect and their voices in total harmony when it came to singing ‘Away in a Manger’.
"A perfect start to the Christmas season."
The leading roles of Mary, Joseph and the Angel Gabriel were played by Flora Hudspith, aged five, Digory Coxcoon, aged four, and Penelope Gilder, also aged four.
