TWO Land Rovers were stolen on the same day from locations in the Cotswolds on Monday, November 28.

One theft happened on Folly Field in Bourton on the Water between 8.15pm and 8.45pm. A blue Land Rover Defender, registration AO54 CZE, was stolen from the driveway without the keys. The owner was at home at the time of the theft.

A second Land Rover Defender was stolen on Chapel Lane in Mickleton between 9am and 7pm. It is white in colour with the registration DX54 MKN. This vehicle was also stolen without the keys.

The incidents are being treated as linked and officers are conducting enquiries to trace those responsible.

Land Rover owners in the area are urged to be vigilant.

Where possible, keep your vehicle in the garage or park another car behind it on the driveway, set the security alarm or place a locking device on the steering wheel.

It is likely the registration plates have been changed since the thefts, but anyone who has seen the Land Rovers should call police on 101 quoting incidents 471 and 509 of November 28.
