NIGHT skies will be lit up with bursts of colour as spectacular firework displays take place across the Cotswolds this weekend.

Crowds will gather, wrapped up warm against the cold, to enjoy sparkling shows and crackling bonfires.

We have compiled a list of events taking place in the north Cotswolds - and wherever you are celebrating, wrap up warm, don't forget your pack of sparklers and be sure to enjoy the fun safely.

Thursday, November 3

Fire Service College Fireworks Display and Bonfire, Moreton-in-Marsh

Gates open at 6pm, Guy Fawkes competition at 6.45pm, bonfire lit at 7pm, fireworks display 7.30pm.

A host of children's fairground rise, Guy Fawkes contest and tasty snacks top off what promises to be a dazzling firework display. No sparklers allowed. ?Admission is free and there will be a charity collection on the night.

Friday, November 4

Shipston Bonfire and Fireworks Display, Shipston Sports and Social Club

Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 7pm, fireworks at 7.30pm.

Enjoy a dazzling fireworks display, fun fairground rides and refreshments from the licensed bar

Tickets cost £6 per adult and £3 for children.

Bonfire and Firework Display, QE2 Field, Stow-on-the-Wold

Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 6.15pm, fireworks at 7pm.

Watch a sparkling pyrotechnic show, warm yourself by the bonfire and enjoy a delicious pig roast at this event.

Entrance is free.

Saturday, November 5

Chipping Campden Bonfire and Fireworks Display, Recreation Ground, George Lane

Gates open at 6pm.

A crackling bonfire and impressive fireworks display will be accompanied by a host of tasty treats, mulled wine, cake, and a hog roast.

Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for children aged between four and 16, and are free of charge for under fours. Call 01386 840634.

Kingham Fireworks Display, Kingham Playing Field

Gates open at 5.30pm

There will be a festive procession, blazing bonfire, mulled wine and music for guests to enjoy.
